After graduating with a BFA in photography this spring, Winnie Gier will be continuing to develop her art practice at University of Georgia in Athens, GA, working on her MFA in photography in the fall.

Shannon Kalahar (BFA 2012) staged an exciting performance/sculpture/video installation “New Lung” in Southwest Rec exercise facility last night, transforming the lobby of the gymnasium into an ‘art training’ facility. She installed sculpture that referenced the volumetric space of her own lungs over a duration, and performed exercises over the course of the opening. She had ‘art trainers’ in place to explain the work to the large numbers of students and faculty who attended the exhibition.
